Retail Store Manager

OverviewOur Client in the Packaging Industry is seekinga Retail Store Manager to join their team.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12/MatricRetail tertiary qualification would be advantageous2 + proven experience in managing people, preferably in a retail and supply chain environmentUnisolv system experience would be advantageousAny food packaging, baking, and butchery ingredients experience would be advantageousValid driver's license and access to own transportJob ResponsibilitiesManaging direct reports working in the retail shopOrganising and control of staff for the following areas:Receiving – Ensure compliance with receiving standardsStock management and control – Ensure stock is always managed in the store accuratelyStore Merchandising – Ensure all shelves are merchandised and always stocked according to retail standardsCash Control – Ensure cash and payments are balanced dailyStock is ordered timeously from all suppliersDriver sales and promotional activity to meet and exceed monthly targetsManage and create promotional activity programs for the storeMaintain shop and all equipmentManaging the store in terms of opening and closing times and staff reporting to the incumbentManage the store as a Profit Centre and ensure the operation is profitableFacilitate accurate quarterly stock takesManage shop staff payroll queries and inputs (Leave/Timesheets etc,)To act as shop COVID-19 Compliance Officer and the responsibilities thereofKey Competencies / SkillsExcellent communicator at all levelsAbility to work under pressure paying strict attention to detailGood standard of numeracyHonest and required integrity to work with cash and stock.Strong planning and organizing skillsCustomer Service orientated and how to deal with customersComputer literate – MS Windows and Office
