Purpose of the Role As a key member of the retail sales and distribution team, the Retail Business Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding the company''s presence in the retail investment market within the Pretoria region.
This role involves promoting investment products, building strategic relationships, and driving market growth.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the investment industry and a proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities Market and Distribute Products: Promote and distribute the company''s investment products to the retail market in the Pretoria region.
Brand Expansion: Lead efforts to increase brand recognition and presence in the region.
Network Building: Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including financial advisors, asset managers, and platform providers.
Client Service Excellence: Provide outstanding service to clients, potential investors, and stakeholders.
Promotional Initiatives: Take initiative in promoting the companys offerings to the broader retail market.
Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within the organization to enhance the companys brand and market positioning.
Partnership Development: Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships with other fund managers and financial institutions.
Required Experience Proven Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with a strong network within the Pretoria region.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the investment industry, including products, structures, and market dynamics.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to understand and communicate complex investment management strategies.
Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, writing, and influencing abilities.
Required Qualifications Educational Background: Completed degree in Commercial, Investment, Financial, or related field.
Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
Certifications: Preference for candidates with certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and/or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
