Role Purpose
The Retail Business Consultant crafts and sustains meaningful partnerships with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) to promote Momentum solutions, assisting in growing the advisor's business, achieving MDS sales targets, and expanding the Momentum footprint.
Qualifications and Experience: 3-year BCom degree in Financial Planning, Investment, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Education, or Legal.Willingness to study towards the degree and recognition of prior learning if you have 3+ years of experience in the IFA industry.CFA and/or CFP is an advantage.Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.1 to 3 years of relevant sales experience.Experience with Momentum Myriad and Investo products is an advantage.Strong business acumen with knowledge in risk assessments, claims, underwriting, tax, and business assurance.Knowledge of the financial services industry, insurance products, and regulatory legislation is advantageous.Duties & Responsibilities: Engage: Develop relationships with IFAs to understand their needs and match the value proposition.Conduct a minimum of 16 face-to-face IFA visits weekly.Present the professional nature of the IFA agenda and minutes of all meetings.Listen, understand, and ask coaching questions.Enthuse: Build long-lasting relationships with IFAs, encouraging them to become active supporters and ambassadors.Educate: Position Momentum as the business partner of choice.Achieve and exceed minimum production and productive IFA targets.Enable: Support IFAs in achieving their business goals.Competencies: Working with people: Shows respect for others, builds team spirit, and reconciles conflict.Adhering to Principles and Values: Upholds ethics, integrity, and equal opportunities.Relating and Networking: Establishes good relationships, builds effective networks.Persuading and Influencing: Gains commitment through persuasion and negotiation.Applying Expertise and Technology: Applies technical expertise and uses technology effectively.Analysing: Breaks down information for better understanding and judgement.Delivering Results: Focuses on customer satisfaction and achieves project goals.Adapting to Change: Adapts to new ideas and changing circumstances.Coping with Pressures: Maintains a positive outlook in pressure situations.Achieving Personal Goals: Accepts demanding goals and seeks progression.Entrepreneurial Thinking: Identifies business opportunities and maintains financial awareness.
