We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our restaurant and cookie confectionary.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in both culinary operations and restaurant management, with the ability to seamlessly manage the front and back of house in the restaurant.
This role involves ensuring high-quality customer service, food and product standards, and operational efficiency throughout the business.Restaurant Operations:Oversee the daily operations of both the front and back of house in the restaurant.Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency, working closely with the kitchen team to maintain the restaurant's standards.Manage front of house staff, ensuring they provide excellent service to customers and create a welcoming dining environment.Collaborate with chefs to develop seasonal menu offerings and maintain quality control over food production and presentation.Monitor health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.Handle customer feedback, resolving complaints or issues professionally and promptly.Team Leadership:Lead, motivate, and manage the restaurant staff, providing ongoing training and performance feedback.Create staff schedules for the restaurant to ensure adequate coverage, especially during peak hours.Promote a positive and professional work environment, addressing any staffing issues and ensuring smooth communication.Customer Service:Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction in both the restaurant and supermarket, constantly seeking ways to improve the guest experience.Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a timely and effective manner.Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers, reflecting the values of a restaurant establishment.Financial Management:Work closely with the ownership team to develop and monitor budgets for both the restaurant and supermarket.Track labor, food, and retail costs to ensure the business remains profitable while maintaining quality standards.Assist in the development of marketing and promotional strategies to boost restaurant dining and supermarket sales.Qualifications & Skills:3-5 years of experience in a managerial role in a restaurant environment.Culinary background with hands-on kitchen experience is highly preferred.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a restaurant team.Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour costs, and operational expenses.Ability to work under pressure and handle the demands of a fast-paced restaurant and retail environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: R20000,00 - R30000,00 per monthApplication Question(s):Are you a South African Citizen?Experience:Hospitality: 3 years (Required)Application Deadline: 2025/01/31
