Upmarket Steakhouse - Kathu, Northern Cape
A very popular and upmarket Steakhouse/Restaurant in Kathu is on the hunt for their next successful Restaurant Manager. The Restaurant services the public as well as a beautiful luxury lodge and helps cater for events, so it is always vibing!
Requirements and Responsibilities
A tertiary qualification in catering, F&B, or hospitality will be beneficial.
At least 4 years in a similar position at an upmarket Restaurant.
Experience in event catering and guest lodge management will be a plus.
Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans - written and verbal.
Strong financial acumen - managing profitability, i.e., GP's (includes costings), expenses, recipes, etc.
Handle daily cash ups - lock up & open responsibilities ensuring each day is properly opened and closed.
Communicate with all departments – optimizing workflow & productivity.
Be the point person for training, supervising & motivating staff.
Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, and safety regulations/maintaining policies & protocols.
Implement policies/procedures to improve efficiency - PAR levels, stock control, wastage, etc.
Be super hands-on - supervise shifts and maximize customer experience, including handling of customer complaints and inquiries.
Coordinating and optimizing front of house/back of house restaurant operations.
Manage the bar including prep, stock control/order, and handling of vendors.
General administration - HR duties in terms of rosters, discipline, leave, etc.
Willing to help out in all areas of the business as needed by management.
Driver's License.

Salary: Market related D.O.E
Live-in accommodation (no pets or dependents unfortunately).
