Restaurant General Manager

Our busy and fast-paced business operation in the Pilanesberg National Park is looking for a strong, hands-on General Manager with a good understanding of all aspects of restaurant, kitchen and retail operations.
We need someone who is energetic, proactive, with a well-developed understanding of the importance of providing world-class customer experience while maintaining operating costs.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both front of house and back of house management, demonstrating exceptional leadership and operational expertise.Summary Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations in the restaurant, bar, kitchen, curio shop and convenience store.Develop and execute staff training programs to enhance service standards and operational efficiency.Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and maximizing profitability.Drive innovative sales and marketing initiatives.Assist the Group GM in the development and implementation of property operational standards and initiatives.Implement systems and procedures that ensure consistent service delivery in respect of the day-to-day running of the business.Ensure all health, safety and statutory compliance standards are met or exceeded and that all necessary functions in this regard are met.Ensure all equipment, assets and facilities are well taken care of, with a special emphasis on preventative maintenance.Recruitment, performance management and discipline of staff.Education and Experience RequirementsCompetent all-rounder with minimum NQF level 6 qualification in business management, hospitality or related fields.The perfect candidate will have 3 years' experience running a business of similar size and complexity.Exceptional knowledge when it comes to food, drinks and menus.Strong ability to use computer systems for inventory management, scheduling, and performance tracking.Strong personality, highly motivated and a strong business acumen.Excellent people skills, good at managing a large team.Ability to maintain a customer-centric approach in everything.Highly presentable with excellent communication skills.Should you believe you have all the required qualifications, skills, and a genuine passion and ability to fulfil these roles and add value to our business, please apply by sending your detailed CV to apply below .za
