Responsible Gaming Manager

Our client, a fast-growing company in the online gaming industry is seeking a Responsible Gaming Manager to join its team in Johannesburg .
This role focuses on customer protection and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will monitor systems and processes to safeguard vulnerable customers, analyze risks, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the highest level of customer security.
Your key  job  responsibilities as the  Responsible Gaming Manager  in  Johannesburg  will include: Gather and record data from internal systems, commercial databases, and web resources to monitor and identify at-risk customers.
Compile reviews and supporting documentation on escalated cases.
Continuously monitor customers and internal systems to protect vulnerable users.
Coordinate intervention efforts to mitigate risks for vulnerable customers.
Identify weaknesses and potential threats in internal processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of collected data and analysis.
Take proactive measures to prevent potentially harmful customer behavior, following agreed intervention procedures.
Perform KYC (Know Your Customer) checks and affordability assessments based on customer risk levels.
Handle Responsible Gaming (RG) queries escalated by support teams.
Analyze and act on RG monitoring tool alerts.
Collaborate with AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Fraud Prevention, and Compliance Teams for cases requiring multi-stakeholder attention.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential risks beyond standard expectations.
Assist in additional tasks as requested by Team Leaders or Management to broaden skills and knowledge.
Maintain daily and monthly productivity metrics and achieve completion of tasks within assigned SLAs.
Requirements for this  Responsible Gaming Manager job  in  Johannesburg : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Responsible Gaming, Compliance, Risk, or Customer Protection role, preferably in the online gaming or sports betting industry.
Proven experience conducting risk assessments and managing escalated cases related to customer behavior.
Previous experience collaborating with cross-functional teams like Compliance, AML, Fraud Prevention, and Customer Support.
Knowledge and experience in Responsible Gaming (RG) practices, gaming compliance, or customer protection.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and governing bodies in the gaming industry, such as AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements.
