The company is currently seeking the services of an experienced RM Officer to become a valuable member of their small and innovative team.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of Bible Translation and the Orality Movement, a passion to reach oral learners with truth, and a sincere desire to build relationships with their existing and growing investor community to ensure that LuminAfrica has the necessary funding to support its various initiatives.Responsibilities:Build strong and lasting relationships with potential investors (including individuals, families, and businesses)Pursue profitable revenue opportunities and mutually beneficial results for the investor and LuminAfricaNurture, develop, strengthen, and expand resource partnerships with advocates and ambassadors for Bible translation within South AfricaEnsure regular, personalized communication with major investors and prospectsPrepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the interests of major investorsMeet or exceed activity targets appropriate for the role, including in-person meetings with prospective investorsMaintain accurate records of investor interactions, solicitations, and gifts while providing regular reports on progress toward goalsHandle relevant administrative tasks related to investor management, including database updates, correspondence and event budgetsWork closely with other development staff, marketing and communications stakeholders, leadership, and volunteers to plan and execute events to engage investors and prospectsCollaborate regularly with projects administrator to stay apprised of impact stories and time-sensitive needs across field ministriesRequirements:Relevant tertiary qualification (fundraising, sales, marketing, investor or customer relations etc.
)At least 5 years' experience in sales or ministry fundraisingOutgoing personality with an enthusiastic interest in building relationships with a variety of peopleExcellent communication skills (in person, telephonically, and in writing)Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and CRM systemsWillingness to abide by biblical principles and core values, ensuring the integrity of the ministryAbility to share personal testimony of Jesus ChristAbility and willingness to travel extensivelyAbility to work independently and as part of a team to prioritize and complete work in a fast-paced environmentMaintain absolute confidentiality and professionalismSuperb analytical, research, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrates a high degree of ownership and flexibilityGood business acumen (good understanding of big business, philanthropic trusts, foundations etc.
)Experience in developing communication collateral for a range of stakeholdersExperience in event management and planningNetworking aptitudeAstute emotional intelligence (self-awareness; self-expression etc.
