Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced
Lodge Resident Manager
for a premier safari destination in the heart of Bela Bela, Limpopo. This live-in position offers the unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team at a luxurious lodge, ensuring guests enjoy unforgettable experiences amidst the beauty of the African wilderness.
Position Overview:
As the Resident Manager, you will be at the helm of the lodge's operations, overseeing all aspects with a hands-on approach. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and service, driving revenue, managing expenses, and enhancing guest satisfaction. Your leadership will be key in fostering a positive work environment and upholding the lodge's reputation as a top destination.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and align the lodge's operations with company objectives.
Oversee daily operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, safari, retail, spa, reserve, and maintenance.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue generation, occupancy rates, and profitability.
Lead and motivate a diverse team, offering guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and business partners to enhance the lodge's reputation and drive customer loyalty.
Monitor guest feedback and address issues proactively to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Analyze financial reports, control costs, and prepare budgets to achieve financial targets.
Stay abreast of industry trends and make informed decisions to capitalize on opportunities.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager or Resident Manager, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within Food and Beverage.
Proven track record of successfully managing lodge operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Sound knowledge of hotel financials, revenue management, and budgeting.
Proficiency in industry-specific software and systems.
A Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
Package:
Competitive salary with a 5% Provident Fund contribution (compulsory membership).
Live-in position with meals provided on duty.
The remuneration package will be discussed during interviews or upon request.
