Opportunity: Resident EngineerLocation: East LondonRate: Negotiable and CompetitiveDuration: 4 months+IR35: OutsideWe require a Resident Engineer to oversee re-cladding and structural strengthening works on two high-rise residential tower blocks in London.Responsibilities:Oversee works on siteProvide technical advice and guidance and be responsible for coordinating with the client and local authorityManage project budget and provide accurate reports on project progress.Flag any deviations found on-site from current construction issued design. Follow this through to resolution with the support of other client project-based functions, as required.Identification of cause of the deviation i.e., existing building conditions, contractor failings.Identification of the solution required i.e., stop work, design check required, design change required. Further investigation required, etc.Appointed as temporary works co-ordinator on the project.Liaison with client's temporary works department and external sub-contractors as required to perform their role.Support the client directly in conversations regarding change with 'The Employer'.Attend meetings as required.Keep daily logs (on Dalux)Raise any RFIs required to perform their role.Raise flags regarding any structural concerns relating to either tower.Review and sign off all structural-related inspection/test plans on Dalux.Assist with developing inspection/test plans.Produce summary reports as required.Raise any SHEQ concerns via Dalux.All inspections/reports, permits, notices, and flags directly on the client's Dalux system.Qualifications and Certifications:The Resident Engineer will need to hold a degree/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering or other relevant field with evidence of continuing professional development.Driving licence and business insurance required.Skills and Attributes:Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks concurrently.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Proficient in preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.To apply for this position please submit your CV supported by a written application.Wilde Consulting Engineers are an Equal Opportunities employer.
