Resident Engineer

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer specializing in Roads to join a leading engineering consultancy in Durban.Responsibilities:Oversee the construction and maintenance of road projectsCoordinate project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocationSupervise construction teams and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulationsManage project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measuresReview and approve construction plans and documentationProvide technical expertise and guidance to project teamsCollaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project deliveryPrepare project reports and communicate progress to key stakeholdersMonitor project budget and control costsEnsure adherence to health and safety standards on construction sitesRequirementsRequirements:B.Sc Eng / B.Eng / B.Tech Eng qualification in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA (Non-negotiable)Minimum 20 years' relevant roads and earthworks experience on major road projectsSANRAL roads experienceStrong knowledge of road construction techniques, materials, and specificationsExperience in project management and contract administrationExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesProficiency in relevant engineering software and toolsValid driver's licenseBenefits Salary: negotiableContact Hire Resolve for you next career-changing move.
