A Luxury Private Game Reserve is seeking an experienced Reserve Manager to lead our conservation and management team in maintaining and improving our 12,000 ha reserve. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in conservation management, infrastructure maintenance, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of the reserve's wildlife, including predator-prey dynamics, game capture, aerial censuses, and alien plant eradication.
Maintain reserve infrastructure, including electrified fencing, roads, water reticulation, and waste management.
Lead a team of staff, including performance management, training, and duty roster management.
Liaise with government departments, neighboring reserves, and conservation organizations.
Manage the reserve's budget, fleet, and procurement of equipment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in reserve or conservation management.
B-Tech or M-Tech in Nature Conservation (or equivalent qualification).
Proven leadership and personnel management experience.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Arcview is an advantage.
Experience dealing with multiple shareholders and attending AGMs is a bonus.
