This role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that all reservations tasks are completed efficiently. Attention to detail, customer service, teamwork, and outstanding communication skills are key to the success of this role. This is a hybrid role based out of South Africa, where a minimum number of days as set by the region is required in the Cape Base office.ResponsibilitiesBrand and Region Agnostic (may be required to work across multiple regions/brands)Assist in ensuring the G Adventures brand and other client brands are properly represented throughout the regionAdministrative support for the Global Sales and Base Camp Operations teams (answer enquiries, handle tasks as required, etc.)Ensure last minute booking requests and changes are handled and communicated efficiently.Work on special projects as required.Work closely with our Tour Ops team to ensure smooth operation of all tours and itineraries.Work closely with the CEO (Tour leader) team to ensure trips run effortlessly and correct information is provided.Support reservations & Flights manager (and others) to negotiate reduced cancellation charges from suppliers.Assist finance department with invoice queries and related tasks.Support the contract specialist with special requests and projects.Work closely with the buying & contracting team to ensure that all rates and pricing are up to date on our internal systems.Prompt response to phone calls, emails, and monitoring of inboxes.Experience1+ years experience in the travel industryExcellent computer skillsHighly proficient in English both written and spokenFamiliarity with travel industry practicesCustomer serviceExcellent attention to detail, well organizedExcellent time management skillsActive listeningProblem solving/complaint resolutionTelephone skillsWord/Excel (and Google Sheets/Docs/Drive)Must be a team player, self-motivated and goal-oriented.What do we offer you?Competitive salary commensurate with the roleCompetitive benefits packageBirthday day offVacation time for you to rechargeEnhanced parental leaveLearning and growth opportunitiesEmployee resource groups*Applicable based on location*G Adventures is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
