Reservationist

Area/Location: Springs Summery:A Reservationist primary role is to handle reservations and bookings for guests and customers, they also do inquiries, and cancellations via various communication channels, including phone calls, emails, and online booking systems, and they must have excellent customer service by promptly and courteously assisting guests with their inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns the guest may have. Qualifications & Requirements: Proficient in Office and EmailRes Request or similar reservations systemExperience:Minimum 3 years experience.Res Request (or similar reservations system) experience essentialDuties/Responsibilities:Responsibilities include but not limited to:To deal with reservation enquiries, bookings, deposits, cancellations, confirmations, pro-formatsprocedureTo deal with the waitlists and complimentary reservations as per procedureTo ensure that provisional bookings are followed upCheck for double bookingsMaximize occupancy with liaison of the reservationists, Reservations Manager and the General ManagerMaintain good relations with all other departmentsBalance occupancies dailyEnsure that all filing is up to dateMaintain guest history as per procedureEnsure credit policy is adhered toFollow up on travel agent voucher correspondence and other documentation that might beoutstandingEnsure the smooth running of the reservations departmentCheck arrivalsCheck groups check payment receivedDaily reports to be completed and sent to accordinglyCheck up on no shows and cancellationsReporting to directorsSober Habits, NO DRUGSImpressive time management and organizational skillsDazzling telephone and communication skillsFriendly but professional work ethic.
