Research Director

The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) seeks a Research Director to lead policy-oriented research in Economics or Education.
The Equitable Education and Economies (EEE) division undertakes research to transform educational outcomes and increase economic participation.
The Research Director will be responsible for:

Conducting policy-relevant research in Economics or Education
Leading a team of researchers to achieve research objectives
Developing and implementing research strategies
Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure research impact

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Economics or Education, extensive knowledge of policy-relevant research, and experience in leading research teams.
The position is a permanent contract based in Cape Town, Sweetwaters, or Pretoria.
