As the Research Assistant, you will support administrative and research initiatives for the department.Your responsibilities will include:Fostering positive relationships with project partners; keeping key stakeholders informed of concerns or setbacksUpdating and maintaining database records and generating reportsProofing and posting adverts to recruit applicants, screening applicants, scheduling study participantsProviding orientation to others on lab equipment, working procedures and practicesResolving issues in the course of test administration and escalating problems as requiredEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an acceptable combination of equivalent experienceMinimum two (2) years of relevant research administration experienceDemonstrated experience conducting literature reviews and drafting correspondenceExperience collecting, updating and managing database recordsDemonstrated experience providing administrative support, including scheduling meetings, drafting meeting materials and minute takingExperience providing orientation and assistance to peers on lab equipment, work procedures and practicesExperience posting recruitment adverts and screening applicantsExcellent knowledge of rules and procedural processes related to Personal Health information Act (PHIPA) and the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software/data storage tools including tools such as: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Research SystemExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to deal effectively with multiple priorities and projects with conflicting deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and high qualityAbility to interpret requirements and procedures, utilize critical thinking, interpersonal and organizational skillsTo be successful in this role you will be:OrganizedResourcefulPlease note that this position is a three-year term.
