The Research and Investment Analyst will perform in-depth investment research, project tasks and provide a high standard of client service, sales support, and presentations to intermediaries and the Glacier Business Development team. The Research and Investment Analyst, in conjunction with the Senior analyst, will also have the opportunity to take responsibility for certain model portfolios.

Fund research and general investment researchClient service and investment supportSales supportInvestment reporting and publicationsPresentations within the business and externalKey outcomes Thoroughly manage research, understand and explain collective investment schemes (including ETF's, Retail Hedge Funds and offshore funds) performance, positioning and mandatesGlacier Research investment publications and reportingGeneral investment research and thought leadership: Analyse, interpret and disseminate market and economic information. Initiate research on current investment-related topicsClient service queriesGlacier Research administration responsibilitiesProvide general investment support (including presentations) to internal Glacier business unitsProvide general investment support to intermediariesProvide general investment and administration support to Glacier ConsultingWrite articles on research/ industry/ investment topics in EnglishAssist with the maintenance of Glacier's proprietary research and investment toolsAd hoc projectsQualifications and experience Quantitative and qualitative manager research experienceRelevant Honours Commerce qualificationAt least CFA Level 1 or equivalent, with higher level qualification beneficialRelevant experience in a retail financial environment would be an advantageComputer skills: MS EXCEL; MS WORD, MorningstarKnowledge of economic principles and retail financial environmentBe willing to travel nationally if requiredPart of the interview process will be to write an investment related article and complete a case study.
