Job Description
High Force Research is an established CRO/CDMO based in Durham, UK. Our core expertise is in chemical research and development, process optimisation, route design, scale-up, and high-quality manufacture of niche, low volume, high value materials including GMP manufacture of novel APIs for clinical study. The main area of business is predominantly in the life sciences sector including pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, and imaging; however, work also extends into other sectors such as nanoparticles, polymers, paints, semiconductors, and fine chemicals.
Due to growth within the business and an increase in demand for several products manufactured by HFR, we are recruiting an experienced Research & Development Chemist to join the team. You will be involved in the synthesis and manufacture of novel organic materials, using analytical techniques such as HPLC and NMR, while working within the quality assurance principles and procedures. Utilising your expert chemical knowledge, you'll deliver on synthetic chemistry programmes by developing, optimising, and scaling new processes, furnishing novel molecules that meet our customers' key quality attributes.
You'll build relationships across our company, collaborators, and customers through participation in project meetings, collaborative research events, and technical report writing. You'll be encouraged to attend key professional development events so that your skills are continually refreshed, adding value to all of the projects you work on.

A PhD in chemistry with a focus on chemical synthesis or prior experience of working in a similar role.
A motivation to deliver success on every project undertaken.
