Research Analyst

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Doing rigorous primary and secondary research across a range of projects to develop credible, meaningful insights that help to solve development problemsDeveloping effective written documents and presentations that communicates insights identifiedPresenting research work both internally and externallyEngaging with external stakeholders regulators, policymakers, private sector players, donor organizations and/or development partnersContributing to proposalsCoaching and mentoring more junior team members (Interns)QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:A completed masters degree in economics, public policy, international development, finance or other related fieldsA strong interest in research-related activities and passion for achieving for positive impact in the worldExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood quantitative and analytical skillsThe willingness and ability to travel within South Africa and abroadAt least 1 year of research experience would be to your advantageAdvantageous experience, not required:French speakingExperience with StataExposure to development or behavioral economics, financial inclusion or international development
