As an Engineering Recruitment Researcher, you will play a key role in identifying and engaging highly skilled engineering professionals for our clients. Youll work in a fast-paced, technical environment where understanding specific engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) and industry trends is critical. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on research, talent mapping, and supporting recruitment consultants in sourcing niche engineering talent. Key Responsibilities: Talent Sourcing: Identify top engineering talent using a variety of sourcing channels, including LinkedIn, niche job boards, databases, and networking events. Candidate Screening: Conduct initial technical interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural fit within highly specialized engineering fields. Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze data on labor market trends, engineering skill shortages, and emerging technologies to inform recruitment strategies. Talent Mapping: Build and maintain detailed talent maps of key engineering functions across industries, ensuring a pipeline of ready-to-hire candidates for future recruitment needs. Database Management: Update and manage the internal ATS (Applicant Tracking System) with detailed notes on candidate profiles, activity, and market insights. Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering Recruitment Consultants to understand client technical requirements and provide well-matched candidate profiles. Technical Research: Stay current on industry standards, certifications, and qualifications specific to engineering sectors (e.g., Six Sigma, CAD, P.Eng., etc.). Reporting: Provide regular reports on candidate sourcing progress, market research findings, and recruitment metrics. Qualifications & Skills: Experience: 1-2 years in recruitment, research, or engineering-related roles. A background in engineering or technical recruitment is highly advantageous. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical, software) or a keen interest in learning about engineering roles and industries. Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess complex technical CVs. Proficient in using recruitment technology and platforms. Problem Solver: Ability to navigate challenges in talent sourcing for highly specialized roles within tight timelines.
