Job Purpose: Reporting AccountantAssist in compiling Regulatory, Statutory (IFRS) and Management Reports.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure all group reporting is completed accurately and within stipulated timelinesWork with business in terms of forecasting and budgetLiaise with finance team to ensure all queries resolved prior to GL close offLiaise with clients to ensure reports are produced timeously and accuratelyAssist Finance Executive to compile annual financial statementsEnsure fixed asset register is accurately and timeously completedEnsure timeous and accurate completion of board packsContinuous focus on customer centricity (Treating Customers Fairly)Drive continuous improvement initiatives within AbacusEnsure stakeholder and relationship managementHuman Resource ManagementEffective self-management and teamworkDesired Experience & QualificationMatricB.Comm (Accounting) plus articles served with a minimum of 5 years reporting experience or recently qualified CAExcellent knowledge of accounting software (eg SAP)Excellent knowledge of excel at an advanced level and financial modellingExcellent knowledge of budget and forecast modelsWorking knowledge of IFRS, VAT and TaxCompetent in IFRS reportingCompetent in compiling annual financial statementsUnderstanding of Life and non-life insuranceConsolidation experience at a Group levelBusiness acumenNumerical reasoningReport writing and interpretation skills (at board level)Analytical skillsInterpersonal skillsProject and initiative managementWritten and verbal communication skillsPlanning and prioritisingAdopting and implementingProblem solvingPackage & RemunerationMarket relatedInsurances
