To provide finance support and be the key point of contact for all external to critically ensure that there is "one version of the truth" in that all forms of reporting reconcile and to ensure a sound financial environment with regards to applicable legislation, appropriate financial reporting standards & relevant internal financial controls as well as alignment of accounting principles and methodologies.Responsibilities:Reporting Delivery of accurate and efficient reportingAccountable for:Ownership of selected balance sheet, including Investment, NDR, Share Capital, Other Comprehensive Income and Minority reconciliationsPreparation of FRAP Reporting Commentary and analysisStatutory reporting – Stat packsReporting all Walmart and Massmart Group reporting in the required standards and metrics.Impairment TestingStatutory Reporting – where requiredManagement of the AFS processApplication of IFRS in statutory and monthly reporting.Compilation of Flash results and commentaryAssisting in the preparation of the FD report inputsResponsible for all Walmart reporting requirementsAd hoc reportingCompilation of monthly Management accountsResponsible for:Assisting with commentary required for FlashAssisting with the preparation & Review of AFSAdding value to the business by proactively analysing our numbers and implementing relevant measurement matrices required for decision makingMonth end reporting:Preparation of High-risk calculations during Flash weekLiaise with Cubula on any Essbase issues identifiedEnsure Sales and Margin are complete and accurate for distributionBusiness Partnering:Direct communication with Senior Financial LeadersCollaboration and teamwork with colleagues to ensure that the reporting team meet all reporting requirementsTeam Collaboration to achieve a common goal– Ensure open communication between the reporting team in order to facilitate consolidation processAudits:Being available to assist with explanations and information for internal and external audit on areas for which one is accountableYear-end and Statutory Reporting:Preparation and review of Statutory Annual Financial StatementsPrepare the Game SA and Rest of Africa Statutory PacksCompletion of reporting for Stats SAAd hoc statutory reportingAssistance in the year-end audit process from a reporting perspectiveAdhoc:Ad hoc queries from the Senior Leaders in Game, Walmart and Massmart within the area of accountabilityReporting with ad hoc projects and data analysis as and when required from Massmart and Game.Other ad hoc duties as required as part of the finance teamSelf-management:Up to date knowledge and skills to handle new complexities, challenges, and responsibilities.
