Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic-minded individual to fill the role of Replenishment Analyst for the Cape Union Mart brand. This position plays a pivotal role in managing inventory levels, optimizing stock replenishment processes, and ensuring product availability across our retail network. The ideal candidate will possess a background in data analytics and problem solving.Responsibilities:Analyze sales data, historical trends, and demand forecasts to develop replenishment plans for retail stores and e-commerce channels, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand.Collaborate closely with merchandise planners, buyers, the distribution centre and e-commerce teams to understand sales patterns, promotional activities, seasonal trends and business processes to inform store and product replenishment planning.Utilize inventory management systems (IMS) and forecasting tools to generate replenishment orders, monitor stock levels, and track inventory performance against targets.Optimize inventory replenishment processes, including order frequency, order quantities, and lead times, to minimize stockouts and excess inventory while maximizing inventory turns.Monitor supplier performance and lead times, proactively addressing any issues to ensure timely delivery of replenishment orders and minimize disruptions to store operations.Analyze product performance metrics, including sell-through rates, stock-to-sales ratios, and gross margin return on investment (GMROI), to identify opportunities for assortment optimization and SKU rationalization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, operations, and finance, to develop and implement inventory management best practices and process improvements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a numerical field such as science or commerce, with mathematics and/or statisticsAt least 2 years of experience in a data-analytics roleStrong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partnersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyFamiliarity with retail stock management principles is advantageousAdditional Information:This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Cape Town, South Africa.Competitive salary and benefits package offered.Opportunity for career growth and advancement within the organization.We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.Please note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
