We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in Johannesburg Role : Renewable Energy Project Manager Utility-Scale Projects Industry : Renewable Energy (Solar PV, Wind, and Energy Storage) Level : Senior Key Requirements: Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related) or a relevant project management qualification (e.g., PMP, Prince2). Experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and/or energy storage) with a focus on utility-scale deployments. 6 years of project management experience within the renewable energy sector, specifically with utility-scale projects. In-depth knowledge of the technical, financial, and regulatory aspects of utility-scale energy projects. Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, including the use of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, operations, etc.) to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget. Strong understanding of power grid integration, interconnection agreements, and utility regulations. Familiarity with contract management and experience negotiating contracts with EPC contractors, suppliers, and clients. Ability to manage project risks, solve complex problems, and handle stakeholder relationships effectively. Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations applicable to utility-scale renewable energy projects. Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the confidence to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, clients, and teams.
