The Purpose of this Position
The successful candidate's will be responsible for designing, developing, or evaluating energy-related projects or programs to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency during the designing, building, or remodelling stages of construction.
Duties: Designing solar panels or Battery Storage Systems for commercial use. Conducting research to develop new technology for renewable energy production. Consulting with clients about the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of solar and Battery power systems. Developing a plan to transition to alternative energy sources such a Battery and solar power to reduce pollution and dependence on fossil fuels. Performing analyses of potential customer sites for Renewable Energy. Conducting environmental assessments of proposed sites. Designing structures such as solar panels or developing materials such as coatings to improve efficiency of existing designs. Conducting tests to measure the performance of equipment in real-world conditions and environments. Analysing customer consumption data from field observations to identify trends or causes of variation. Design proposals to fulfil customer requirements in reduction carbon footprint and offering renewable solutions. BESS & Solar. Qualifications and Competencies Required: Matric. National Diploma in electrical engineering/ megatronic engineering. Minimum 2 years' experience. Must have software understanding. Must pay attention to detail. Must be deadline oriented. Ability to work independently. Must be responsible and trustworthy to work in field. Must be able to read and write English. Must have good communication skills. Hardworking person and have a good nature to fit in with our current team. NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
