The client is in New York, USA Title: Content Strategist Location: Remote Time Commitmen t: 5 - 10 hours per week (20 - 40 hours per month) Compensation: Approximately R450 per hour (paid per project, totalling approximately R9 000 - R18 000 per month) Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Content Strategist to join our team, a personal branding agency that specializes in podcast post-production, repurposing, and distribution.
This role involves the end-to-end management of long-form podcast content, identifying key moments for short-form video clips, and providing comprehensive notes on relevant mentions throughout the content.
Your work will contribute directly to the content strategies of our clients, enhancing their personal brands and maximizing audience engagement across various platforms.
The ideal candidate is skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Descript), possesses strong analytical and organizational skills, and has a keen eye for identifying impactful moments in video content.
Responsibilities - Download, import, and organize podcast footage in Adobe Premiere Pro or Descript.
- Create rough edits of long-form podcasts, ensuring clean transitions and clarity.
- Identify and edit 5 compelling moments from each podcast into 1-minute clips.
- Export and upload both long-form and short-form edits to Google Drive.
- Compile detailed notes on people, companies, brands, and events mentioned within long-form and short-form content.
- Maintain effective communication with team members via Slack and email to ensure content alignment and timely execution.
Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications - Experience: At least 2 years of content strategy, podcast editing, video editing, or related experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with Adobe Auto Pod or Descript is a plus.
- Analytical Ability: Able to identify impactful content moments and document relevant details efficiently.
- Communication: Clear, prompt, and reliable communication via email and Slack.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks across multiple projects within deadlines.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate varying project timelines.
