The salary for this permanent Consultant Physician job is £99,532 - £131,964 per annum plus an £8,000 relocation package.
Main duties: Work with colleagues to develop an acute frailty pathway and further develop frailty servicesProvide teaching for Junior Doctors, Medical Students, and other members of the multidisciplinary teamTake responsibility for work on the Care of the Elderly wards at WCHShare with Consultant colleagues the role of educational or clinical supervisor to Junior doctors in trainingUndertake personal development and mandatory trainingParticipate in clinical meetings and postgraduate activities in the TrustParticipate in Clinical trialsWork closely with other specialist teamsWork with managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of servicesUndertake administrative duties associated with the care of their patients and the running of clinical areasAssist in the preparation of business plansSupport and participate in the Booked Appointment SystemsTake an interest in research/teaching with participation in projects and coursesParticipate in Consultant Appraisal and Job PlanReview on an annual basis and the revalidating process when necessaryRequirements of the Consultant Physician: Full Registration with the General Medical CouncilSpecialist Registration for Geriatrics and GIM.
