Commercial Underwriting – Commercial Portfolio Management (CPM), Reinsurance Administration in the CPM CoE is looking for an individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to build good relationships. The successful candidate will have good communication and negotiation skills, with a 'can-do' attitude, and will be based in Parktown.
Job PurposeThis job family stream is concerned with managing risk by providing Reinsurance Administrative service and support to both the Commercial Processing Centre (CPC) and Commercial Underwriting team. The Reinsurance Administration role is an administrative and supportive role with a strong system and process focus. The primary focus is to double-capture all FAC policies on the mainframe/PC system and the preparation of the reinsurance tool to ensure reinsurance placement is ultimately accurate and complete. The incumbent will be responsible for managing risk administered on external systems, to achieve, maintain and grow the overall profitability of the CPM channel.
Key accountabilities of this role will includeDouble Capture all FAC policies on Mainframe/or PC as per the broker issued schedulesComplete the Reinsurance FAC tool and gather all the necessary information linked to the risk (e.g., Survey report and compliance)The handling of escalations and queries regarding Reinsurance policiesIdentifying re-insurance and taking appropriate action to ensure risk appetite controls are adhered to.Providing quality and correct feedback on high level technical queries.The successful candidate will also be responsible for building networks and relationships with the various role players and are required to liaise and influence on various levels.
