Requirements:A degree in Law.Admission as a practicing Attorney or Advocate.8 - 10 years legal experience.3 or more years experience in a senior management position.A Master's degree in ICT policy and regulation, competition or administrative law will be an added advantage.Experience in:- ICT policy- ICT legislation- ICT regulation- Competition Law- ICT trends and drivers- ICT Legal advisory- Business process management- Strategic planning- Risk managementResponsibilities:Legal analysis of the legislative, regulatory, and policy environment;Managing and maintaining all legal, compliance, and policy opinions on regulatory policies, practices, processes, and submissions;Manages and directs the preparation of legal and policy position papers and provides legal input in the preparation of written and oral submissions on ICT legislative, regulatory, and policy development;Provide legal advice in ICT and competition law regarding license conditions, competition law enforcement, and mergers;Manages and promotes compliance with prevailing ICT legislation and regulatory instruments;In collaboration with the Risk Management function, manages and mitigates the enterprise risks, compliance risks, and business risks pertaining to ICT regulatory issues for the company.
