Minimum RequirementsGrade (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
RecommendationA valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.
NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Key Performance AreasProvide register counter services; Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence; Render an effective filing and record management service; Operate office machines in relation to the registry function; Process documents for archiving and disposal.
CompetenciesA good understanding of the following: Registry duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data and operate a computer; Legislative framework governing the public service; Storage and retreival procedures; Understanding registry work; Skills needed: Proven computer literacy; Planning and organising; Written and verbal communication; Problem-solving.
RemunerationR per annum (Salary Level 5)Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
NotesShortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting.
These candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests.
The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
