Registered Nurse | Ward 2 | Neuro & UrologyA vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse in Ward 2, at Life Wilgers Hospital situated in Pretoria.
The above position reports to the Unit Manager.
The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of this unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients.Critical OutputsConduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.Ensuring that unit is run according to acceptable legal standards.Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare standards.Maintaining sound relationships and communication with patients, relatives and the multi-disciplinary team.Effective relationship with internal and external stakeholders that enhances and optimizes business growth.Optimal and efficient resource utilization as per agreed budgetary parameters.Optimal product utilization including pharmaceuticals and equipment and sundries.Patient Experience, Clinical, and Safety (Patient and Employee) outcomes targets are met.Compliance with LHC policies, Work Procedures & workflows (WP).RequirementsDiploma/Degree in Nursing.Neurology/Urology ward – Nursing experience.Active registration on SANC.Capacity to lead, foster and develop a healthy and positive working environment, which actively promotes joint performance and value-based culture.Strong interpersonal skills required.Must be able to work under pressure.Understanding of relevant legislation, industrial relations, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards.Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.Computer proficiency would be an advantage.CompetenciesProblem-solving, analysis and judgement.Resilience.Engaging diversity.Verbal & written communication and presentation.Influencing.Action orientation.Building relationships.Customer responsiveness.Organisational awareness.Excellence orientation.Email: ****** date: Tuesday, December 17, 2024Internal applicants - Before making an application, you are requested to discuss your application with your line manager.
