Registered Nurse PositionThe Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for:Direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey work output and accountabilities include:Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activitiesContribute to the holistic care of patientsAttend handover of report at shift commencementTo recognize life-threatening situationsCommunicate effectively with patients regarding their carePromotion of patient's health and wellbeingGive a detailed handover to the ward's sisterAudit of health records to ensure complianceEnsure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriatelyPromote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitorsDesired Experience & QualificationQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED INCLUDE:Registration with the South African Nursing CouncilRegistered Nurse or Equivalent NQF7 qualificationHave a matric qualification2 Years minimum in Theatre and Operating roomCardiac and Vascular Scrub experience essentialAdvanced computer literacyCapacity of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislationInterested?If you are interested in the position and wish to apply, kindly attach your own up to date CV, copies of all qualifications, certificates, ID and SANC receipt.
