Registered Nurse | Paediatric

A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse – Paediatric, based at Life Cosmos Hospital, Mpumalanga, reporting to the Unit Manager, Anna Karuppan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic patient care and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives.Critical OutputsEffective cost management for staff and stock by:Evaluating employee labour hours and manage debit and credit hoursMinimising unnecessary stock wastage and facilitating maintenance of equipmentProviding quality patient care by:Identifying and ensuring staff undergo department specific micro orientationEnsuring daily care rounds are conducted and investigation of complaints.Providing accurate, appropriate and adequate information to patients and family members during hospitalizationProviding effective risk management (SHEQ & infection control) by:Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimize riskComply with ISO requirements in order to facilitate infection controlConducting effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders by:Identifying doctor's preferences and stakeholders needs and implement in the working environmentRequirementsRelevant Degree or Diploma in NursingNursing Experience in paediatric nursing essentialCurrent registration with the relevant professional or regulatory bodyUnderstanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantageComputer proficiencyCompetenciesProblem-solving, analysis and judgementResilienceEngaging diversityVerbal & written communication and presentationInfluencingDrive & energyExcellence orientationEthical behaviourBuilding relationshipsCustomer responsivenessOrganisational awarenessEmail: ****** date: Monday, September 2, 2024Internal applicants - Before making an application, you are requested to discuss your application with your line manager.
