Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Job Duration: 12 Months Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (08:00 - 20:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Must have 2 years of experience in the specialty License: Compact or state license in hand upon submission Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, AHA certifications required Must-Have: Epic experience and comfort working with pediatric patients Job Description: - Provide pre-op, Phase I, and Phase 2 recovery care to a diverse patient population, including both pediatric and adult patients.- Support patients for all major surgical services, excluding those requiring critical care.- Participate in various surgical and procedural care, including Regional anesthesia and ECT.- Work in a department with 34 operating rooms across two floors, covering various surgical and procedural demands.- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein devices.- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2.- Work scheduled weekends as part of the contract.- Ensure compliance with COVID-19 and Flu vaccine requirements, with medical or religious exemptions only.- Must be comfortable preparing NURSYS Reports, with required submissions made within four weeks of submission date.- Former staff members must be separated for one full year before returning as travel resources.- Complete an 8-hour orientation.This role requires a high level of adaptability and the ability to care for patients of all ages and conditions in a fast-paced outpatient surgery environment.
