Registered Nurse - NNICUWe are looking for a Registered Nurse with post basic qualification or experience in NNICU. If nursing neonates is your passion, then this position is for you.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, and implement advanced nursing care in a specialized field in accordance with standard nursing care procedures.Initiate, direct and maintain emergency treatment (RESUS) as indicated to any patient/person in any ward/department of the hospital.Diagnose and treat the emergency patient quickly, effectively, and efficiently as possible within the Scope of Practice.Do rounds with the physician to review the condition of patients; develop nursing care plans; participate in the care of all patients in the unit.Evaluate patients' care needs; initiate individualized nursing care plans; co-ordinate patient services.Prepare day/night shift documentation that reflects patient status, patient/staff ratio, and problems.Ensure the provision of a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Evaluate, set standards, and monitor safe utilization of supplies and equipment.Desired Experience & QualificationsGrade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification.Must be a Registered Nurse currently registered with the South African Nursing Council.Private Hospital experience in an NNICU is advantageous.3 – 5 years' experience in the specified discipline would be advantageous.
