Prominent Healthcare and Risk Management company has a permanent vacancy for a Registered Professional Nurse with Clinical Hospital Pre-Authorisation experience and a private hospital nursing background. The role is 100% office-based and located in Port Elizabeth, EC.

Qualifications And ExperienceA National Senior Certificate is essential.It is essential to have a Nursing Diploma or Degree.Minimum of 1 years' clinical experience within a private hospital is essential.The incumbent must be registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.Knowledge of the Medical Scheme industry would be highly advantageous.Experience in a call centre environment would be an advantage.MS Office/ Office 365 proficiency.Open to SA citizens with a clear criminal and credit history. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Team Leader, performance areas include, but are not limited to:
Pre-authorisation of in-hospital procedures, specialised radiology, medical appliances and oxygen for all schemes according to protocols.Assistance with clinical related queries and escalations according to protocols.Presenting of complicated cases at clinical meetings when required.Assistance with ongoing training and support within the Pre-Auth Team.Accurate and comprehensive recording of notes on the system.Rotational filing of audit reports.Timeous resolution of client queries to ensure excellent client service.Act as a reliable backup to the Team Leader in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity within the Pre-Auth Team.Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.Demonstrate exemplary team behaviour through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organisational values.Be part of a culture that directs best practice, fostering an environment of continuous learning, improvement and cohesiveness.Identify own training and development needs and discuss interventions to enable ongoing personal growth.
