A vacancy exists for a Regional Trainer for Gauteng reporting to Training Manager. The successful candidate will promote, maintain, and improve individual skills through the implementation and training of Life Renal Care guidelines and procedures to all clinical staff within the region, setting the highest premium of quality care by ensuring that Life Renal Care standards are achieved and maintained to increase patient quality of life. Ensure that all activities related to Life Renal Care patient clinical database (EuCLiD) are effectively managed. Ensure that all activities related to the Life Renal Care Clinical Quality Management Program (QMS) are effectively managed.
Critical OutputsTraining & Education: Analyse training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs in conjunction with the Life Renal Clinical Department.Conduct and or arrange for ongoing clinical training and personal development classes for clinical staff members.Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, and workshops.Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires.Train mentors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees.Develop and maintain testing and evaluation procedures.Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultation with Renal Unit Manager/Nursing Manager/Country Medical Director.Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as hand-outs and visual materials.Quality Management System (QMS Basic): Ensure training and implementation in conjunction with Quality team/Renal Unit Manager the LRC Quality Management System.Be responsible for the development, review, and revision of clinical policies and procedures.Provide training and monitor the implementation of quality improvement policies and procedures within the LRC network.Monitor the quality-of-care outcomes in dialysis units and assist the Renal Unit Manager and care teams to improve outcomes that do not meet established goals, by formulating appropriate action plans.Regular reporting of outcomes (clinical) data to management for review and distribution.Be responsible for ensuring that the Quality Program is effectively implemented in new clinics within the provider network.Coordinate all activities related to the conduction of clinical audits and investigations in LRC clinics.Patient Clinical Information Database: Ensure that all activities related to the EuCLiD clinical database are effectively trained and implemented within the provider clinics, both existing and newly added clinics. Ensure that LRC provider network are trained and compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to the collection of confidential patient information. Be responsible for coordinating all training activities related to the EuCLiD system.Additional Tasks: Support other projects and activities of the Quality and training department, to create synergies.Develop and give presentations and tools for training implementation: training introductions for participant buy-in, training status updates, tracking tools, etc.Contribute to training budget planning activities.Travel to regional clinics for training implementation.RequirementsRN or Clin TechMin 3-4 years of healthcare provider organizationsExcellent knowledge of QMS and Euclid ProgramNursing & hygiene standardsNursing practice standardsHigh command of EnglishAdvanced user of usual IT (office) systemsDetailed know-how on framework of renal care in healthcare provider organizationsUnderstanding of all elements relevant to providing renal care in healthcare provider organizationsUnderstanding of link and dependence of elements to provide renal care in clinical organizationsCompetenciesWell-motivated, confident and reliable person.Good organizational and time management skills.Speaking — talking to others to convey information effectively.Complex Problem Solving — identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
