Regional Trade Relationship (Sales) Executive
Our Cape Town based head office is seeking a trade sales executive to look after its key Cape Town and surrounds partners and accounts. The role is for a top tourism brand in the Western Cape and reports to the Group Marketing and Trade Manager, and previous travel and tourism sales experience is non-negotiable.
The role will be perfect for an energetic, self-motivated and hands-on person – ready to build incredible relationships on behalf of the group of hotel and tourism brands.
The candidate will ensure that the brand collateral are distributed on an ongoing basis and that trade partners are updated at all times about the products and offerings.
Key Responsibilities and Daily Tasks
Ensure ongoing trade representation within the Cape Town and Western Cape:
Present, promote and sell activities and accommodation to existing and prospective partners
Communicate on behalf of the brands with trade partners
Ensure ongoing training and understanding of activities and accommodation products to trade partners
Establish and develop positive business relationships
Distribute collateral
Attend industry related events and functions on behalf of the brands
Attend and help organize relevant trade shows and exhibitions on behalf of all the brands
Do product presentation via digital or in person meetings
Help problem solve on behalf of trade partners
Organise and attend industry gatherings
Database management
Grow database of Cape Town and Western Cape partners
Requirements:
Must understand the tourism value and sales chain
Must have previous work experience in tourism and travel industry
Computer literate
Be well presented and hard working
A self-motivated individual
Prioritize time management
Ability to create and deliver tailored presentations to audiences
Relationship management
