Main Purpose of Job: To ensure the Technical Department is managed in an efficient and professional way resulting in excellent operational delivery.
Qualifications & Experience: Relevant Degree or equivalent5-8 years' experience in a Security industryExtensive Technical ExperiencePeople management experienceJob Requirements & Other Attributes: Computer Literate (MS Office and Outlook)PSIRA registered (Grade A)Budgeting knowledgeProject ManagementConversant in SAIDSA requirementsDuties: Technical efficiencies: Manage the Installations and Service revenueManage the implementation of Sales through the Technical program in the regionManage the fuel consumption within TechnicalManage the Overtime costs within TechnicalManage and maintain "wait/lead time" for installations and servicing of alarmsManage operating cost of the technical fleet vehiclesManage and drive the new product lineManage staff turnover within TechnicalManage and control the operating costs within Technical (Budget)Manage absenteeism and excess leave within TechnicalEHS: Conduct EHS audits within TechnicalConduct fire and evacuation drillsConduct EHS inspections within TechnicalImprove and manage the accident ratio in Operations DepartmentsCustomer Service: Identify the root cause for customer service issues in TechnicalManage and compile reports on any outstanding issues on callouts and services renderedCreate a performance-based culture through implementing a cutting-edge performance management system and provide necessary trainingProvide guidelines for training and succession planningPerformance Management: Create a performance-based culture through implementing a cutting-edge performance management system and provide necessary trainingProvide guidelines for training and succession planningCompetencies (Technical & Behavioral): Timely decision makingDelegationInterpersonal savvyBusiness AcumenManage diversityCaring about direct reportsAction-orientatedCustomer focusNegotiationProblem solvingNOTE: The job description is a guideline of key performance areas but does not limit your activities to the content herein.
