Regional Sales Representative

Our client, a leading manufacturer of footwear, is seeking a Regional Sales Representative for the footwear industry within their sales team based in Cape Town. This person will be responsible for the Western Cape region. A dynamic individual that understands this market and can use it to generate sales.Duties Include The Following, But Not Limited To:Plan and implement a sales strategy in the respective sales area and ensure that the sales budget is achieved.Market & Trade intelligence: Extensive travel within sales territory and ensure positive growth within the area by servicing the current customer base and identifying growth opportunities.Analyse the market and conduct customer research to determine the customer needs and feedback findings from research to the relevant sales manager.Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.Promotional activities – implement new product launches, plan and control promotional activity.Cost and credit control – control operational costs and expenditure.Administration and office management – complete all weekly reports as per set deadline from the relevant sales manager.Requirements:Relevant Degree/Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration will be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.3-5 years' experience as a Sales Agent/Representative.Excellent negotiation and closing skills.Ability to learn and understand new ranges and product specifications seasonally.Sufficient administrative abilities to back up the sales repertoire.Strong PC skills and sales system knowledge.Experience in footwear, clothing, leather accessories will be an advantage.Driver's licence and own transport essential.Salary: R23k – R25k TCTC, plus a commission structure, fuel card.
