OPTRON serves the geo-informatics industry by providing hardware and software solutions used across the mining, construction, private practice government and other sectors. Applications include conventional land surveyors, surveying in mining operations, road building, general construction, and various mapping functions in government. Continuous technological advances result in a regular replacement cycle of the products by customers. The product range is growing into software solutions which compile and present the data collected by the hardware products.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Regional Sales Manager will be accountable for executing the sales plans for the allocated region for the existing products, technologies and solutions within the Geospatial portfolio and will be responsible for maximizing business growth and profitability by selling our products and solutions to new and existing customers, as well as building and maintaining credible client relationships and partnerships.

Promote and maintain the OPTRON brand as well as ensuring customer satisfaction by taking control of the delivery process for prompt delivery of products/service.Offer quality solutions to meet customer needs by conducting proper research and addressing the customers needs and pain points.Develop methods for growth and maintenance of customer base through actively identifying new sales and market opportunities within allocated region as well as keeping in contact with loyal/repeat customers.Prepare and submit sales forecasts to the National Sales Manager on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.Uphold effective and efficient sales process and administration for accurate and accountable sales processing and practices and properly utilise the CRM software.Product Management: Ensure continuous development and maintenance of own product knowledge for sales excellence.Liaise with National Sales Manager to define marketing campaigns and requirements in collaboration with respective product specialist.Stay up to date with new and upcoming regional product launches and ensure attendance thereof.Customer Management: Build and improve on long-term client relationships with key defined customers within the region.Drive customer satisfaction through ensuring professional, knowledgeable and friendly customer service delivery throughout the region.Ensure the provision of timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs.Make customers feel valued and involved by requesting their feedback and thereby creating constant improvement on product and service offerings.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
Degree or diploma in Surveying, or equivalent relevant qualification.Minimum of 3 years experience with Survey; GIS; Construction; Mining or Civil Engineering.Previous business development, sales or account management experience would be highly beneficial.BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES, ATTITUDE AND APPROACH NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
