Our client, a prominent safari operator in East Africa, is looking for a Regional Markets Development Executive to join their team. The role is integral to expanding their presence across regional markets while ensuring exceptional service standards. You will be responsible for onboarding new travel agents, fostering long-term relationships, supporting sales efforts, and contributing to the overall business development strategy.This is a unique opportunity to work with a company that not only delivers world-class safari experiences but also prioritizes conservation and community empowerment across the region. The position involves some travel, both locally and internationally, and requires someone who is solutions-driven, organized, and adaptable to work well under pressure.Key Responsibilities:Capture and qualify new agent leads, onboarding them into the company's systems.Provide training and continuous support to travel agents to ensure effective collaboration.Collaborate with the reservations department to optimize agent proposals and itineraries.Handle daily agent inquiries, complaints, and account management in coordination with the finance team.Support the sales team by preparing materials, engaging with partners, and attending tradeshows as needed.Maintain consortia platforms, ensuring all listings and collaterals are up to date.Minimum Qualifications:At least 2 years of experience in the African travel industry, with a focus on East African safari tourism.Excellent communication skills, with an understanding of cross-cultural interactions.Strong problem-solving abilities and commercial acumen.Proficiency in handling administrative tasks with strong organizational and time-management skills.Experience managing complex situations and delivering high-quality outcomes.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A proactive, can-do attitude, with the ability to find creative solutions.Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when necessary.Working Conditions:Based in the Cape Town office, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an hour lunch break. Some travel required, both locally and internationally.
