Purpose of the role As the Regional Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day of some operations in continent logistics division.
This includes managing teams, implementing operational strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of service level.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive overall operational excellence to growth the operational profit margin of the business.
Key responsibilities Operational Oversight: · Oversee activities of some Fadel Operations.
· Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of internal operations.
· Ensure that the day to day routine is in place within the operations.
· Conduct on-site visits to distribution centres and facilities to verify the efficient operation of processes, aiming to optimize profitability.
· Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring the integrity and security of logistics operations.
Strategic Planning: · Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics and transportation operations.
· Align operational goals with overall business objectives.
· Lead strategic projects to grow footprint of Fadel Africa in Logistics within different portfolios and services but also looking for new opportunities to diversify the business inside our customers Process Optimization: · Identify opportunities for process improvement and streamlining workflows.
· Implementing best practices to maximize operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: · Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in operational processes.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
· Implement best practices to enhance overall transportation operations.
Reporting and Cost Management: · Generate reports on business performance, costs, and efficiency for senior management.
· Develop and manage budgets for transportation operations.
· Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality while ensuring financial objectives are met.
Customer Relationship Management: · Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and ensure high satisfaction levels.
· Address and resolve customer concerns and issues promptly.
· Business Partner between client and operations.
Performance metrics: · Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the effectiveness of operational processes.
· Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement.
· Effectively allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and technology, to meet operational demands and objectives.
Team Leadership and development: · Lead and inspire a diverse team of operational professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
· Provide training to staff to ensure compliance, safety, and skills development.

Experience, skills, and capability · Tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain Management.
· 10 years+ experience in management role with the logistics/supply chain field.
· Proven experience managing large scale operations.
· Strong business acumen and leadership skills.
· In-depth knowledge of technology integrations.
· Microsoft Excel Advance user.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
