Oversee all lending activities and risks associated with credit granting and underlying clients within the approved Bank's mandate and risk appetite as determined by the Bank in accordance with approved Credit Policies, norms, and mandates. Provide leadership to ensure that key strategic objectives are met. Responsible for managing and mitigating credit risk in the designated region, which includes adopting and optimizing a best-fit operational model with the appropriate finance, governance, and risk framework and controls, ensuring alignment with the Bank's guidelines, policies, and legislation.Establish, input, implement, and lead the review of credit policy, procedures, and credit risk frameworks in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Introduce and embed operational efficiencies by implementing customer-centric credit execution of credit strategy, function inclusive of related policies, norms, and SOP, making informed credit recommendations.Identify improvement opportunities to credit processes that will reduce risk by conducting gap analysis for emerging commercial farmers, medium, and large commercial farmer segments at a regional level and support the Bank's prudent lending approach.Manage credit risk by keeping abreast of appropriate legislation through relevant research and benchmarking to align with industry best practices.QualificationsManagerial experience in a credit granting environment5 years of senior management level experienceAbility to formulate and implement Commercial Banking and Transformation credit strategyKnowledge in Agricultural Development and transformationUnderstanding of Credit Granting PoliciesFamiliarity with Norms & ProceduresKnowledge of relevant LegislationUnderstanding of Financial & Accounting PrinciplesExperience in Credit & Financial AnalysisKnowledge of Project FinanceExperience in Credit Lending Strategy and SystemsDesired Work ExperienceMore than 10 years in relevant fieldsDesired Qualification LevelDegreeAbout The EmployerCLOSING DATE: 22 AUGUST 2024TO APPLY: CALL SHASHI on Cell number in the REF above for email address shashi@mployglobal
