Regional Finance Manager - Gauteng

Job DescriptionThe Regional Finance Manager's primary purpose is to provide support to the Finance Director in managing and overseeing the Gauteng Finance Department. He/she will also have to:NB! Must have the ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload in a highly pressurized environment. Do not apply if you are not able to work under a large amount of pressure.Supervise and manage the full accounting function in the Gauteng regionManage, develop, mentor and lead the finance team for the Gauteng regionReview the work performed by the finance team to ensure that the accounting functions are performed accurately and timeously and in accordance with defined processes and legislative requirements.Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, procedures and conducting regular assessments of financial proceduresReview financial data for accuracy, correctness and completenessAuthorise, oversee and review payments for creditors, expenses and COD, on a daily basisPerform financial analysis and reportingImplement and maintain financial controls Qualifying ExperienceRelevant degree or Accounting Diploma qualificationA minimum of 10 years work experience in a managerial finance and administration positionExperience in using ACCPAC is an added advantageProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office – Advanced Excel knowledge Qualifying AttributesAbility to work effectively to meet tight scheduled deadlinesExcellent managerial and communication skillsAbility to work "hands on at the coal face"Ability to work independently as well as contribute to a positive and productive team environment and ethos
