Refrigeration Technician

JOB PURPOSEREFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN? To service, maintain and operate the refrigeration plants with minimum downtime, best cost andoptimal energy usage.
Fault finding on all refrigeration equipment and systems.? To ensure the safety of all personnel through adherence to safe practices? To overhaul compressors, condensers, pumps, valves, HX's? Construct small and medium size refrigeration plantsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Efficient refrigeration plants operating at optimal levels? Heat exchangers chilling the water to temperatures at correct flow rates as per setting? Cold storage rooms maintaining the required temperaturesREQUIREMENTS: SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES? Artisan – Industrial Refrigeration Trade Test.
(Other trade qualification acceptable when supportedwith the appropriate refrigeration training and experience.
)? Certified to work in ammonia refrigeration plants? 5 years' experience in ammonia refrigeration plants and relevant equipment? 5 years' experience in Freon refrigeration systems, including air conditioning systems (service andinstallation)? Must have well established electric knowledge and skills especially on control circuits? Must work well in a multi-disciplinary team? Must have a working knowledge of planned maintenance systems
