MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education Grade 12.Refrigeration Certificate.Drivers License.Diploma in Refrigeration and passed the Trade test.Registered Refrigeration Practitioner.Experience and knowledge requirements 5 years experience in refrigeration and Airconditiong since Qualification. Other (knowledge and skills), e.g.
understanding of relevant legislation; knowledge of relevant company procedures.
Understanding, knowledge and application of the relevant SANS legislation regarding HVAC&R industry.
Knowledge of SHEQ regulations and legislation in the work area KPA 1 Undertakes the maintenance, repairs and installation of all refrigeration and air- conditioning equipment respond emergency calls for both and NBI KPI 1.1 Assist with Refrigeration projects.
1.2 Install refrigeration equipment according to manufacturers instructions.
1.3 Commission functioning of equipment prior to hand over to sites.
1.4 Extensive travelling undertaken to the various Zones/ Branches.
1.5 Extensive travel to zone sites and/or branches to perform refrigeration maintenance, calibration and validation.
KPA 2 Undertakes the Repairs and Testing of Equipment KPI 2.1 Test and trace equipment for faults.
2.2 Dismantle faulty equipment.
2.3 Repair or replace necessary parts.
2.4 Reassemble equipment.
2.5 Modify and retrofit equipment where necessary, i.e.
parts are obsolete.
2.6 Test and commission repaired equipment.
2.7 Issue respective COC for equipment as per SANS 10147.
2.8 Extensive travelling undertaken to the various Zones/ Branches to effect repairs as required.
KPA 3 Undertakes Routine Checks of Refrigeration Installations and Equipment for and NBI KPI 3.1 Guided by SAP Plant Maintenance schedules and performs routine checks on refrigeration installations and equipment.
3.2 Compiles relevant reports and submits to the responsible personnel and maintains copies in the Maintenance file.
KPA 4 Undertakes Routine Maintenance and Repairs of Refrigeration and Equipment for and NBI KPI 4.1 Respond to maintenance work requests (job cards) from divisions and supervisor.
4.2 Service and/or maintain refrigeration installations.
4.3 Repair and/or replace faulty compressor units in refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.
4.4 Calibrate refrigerators and freezers according to laid down Sops (17025) and calibration and validation schedule.
4.5 Perform standby and callout duties on a roster basis.
KPA 5 Ensures that Tools are cleaned and maintained KPI 5.1 Ensure that tools and equipment are signed in and out of stock manage the lifespan of tools and equipment through ongoing routine maintenance.
5.2 Selects and use the correct and appropriate equipment for the various task types to minimise downtime and product loses.
5.3 Ensure equipment is stored and maintained as required to guarantee its operational integrity and calibration status as per required legislation.
KPA 6 Ensures that Administration is undertaken effectively and efficiently KPI 6.1 Order equipment and materials from suppliers according to job cards or workshop requisitions
