The Opportunity Our Client's got more holiday leads than they can handle and they're growing fast (50% YoY growth). They're looking for an ambitious Africa specialist Travel Consultant to join their travel team. You will play a leading role in driving revenue at this outstanding tour operator and design amazing trips for their US and UK customers.
Experience selling Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda is a plus, but not essential. If you have the experience of selling Southern Africa destinations and are willing to learn new territories, this role could be for youAs a Senior Sales Specialist, you will conduct in-depth, engaging and energising customer consultations to capture imaginations and really understand the customer's travel preferencesDeliver a passionate high quality of personalised service, ensuring your customers feel valued andengagedDesign and sell the customer's perfect trip to East AfricaLoving the sales process and delight in talking to customers and closing dealsPossess the aptitude to work as part of a small Africa specialist teamOngoing product training provided along with extensive educational trips to East Africa, offering you the opportunity to develop valuable knowledge on new destination launchesNow Let's Talk About You: At least 3 years of Africa tailor-made B2C sales experienceExperience of creating tailor-made trips from scratch (not scheduled group tours or 'brochure selling')Building rapport comes easy to youDrive to succeed in sales and a passion for, and travelled to parts of the continentPossess Africa geographical and product knowledgeUsed to dealing with customers with £6k+ per-person budgetsExperience selling to the US & UK marketPrevious experience working with CRM systemsThis is a fully remote position and our client encourage flexible workingMost of their team is based in the UK, but they're happy for you to be located elsewhere, provided you are currently working or have worked for an Africa specialist Tour Operator / Travel Agency / Online Travel Company, and possess the necessary experience they are looking for.
