The Registrar's Office staff are committed to strong service excellence in supporting the academic and registrarial needs of current undergraduate, graduate and professional master's students. These services include advising and administration as it relates to registration, financial need, scholarships & awards, and graduation. In addition, the Registrar's Office is responsible for recruitment and admissions of prospective students, administration of experiential learning opportunities (international, research, in-field learning courses), scheduling of academic courses and exams and providing faculty support. The staff in the Office work collectively toward enhancing the student experience while being committed to operating under principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
Reporting to the Registrar and Director of Student Services, the Recruitment and Admissions Officer is crucial to the efficient and effective implementation of recruiting and admissions efforts for the Bachelor of Kinesiology, Masters of Science, Masters of Professional Kinesiology and Doctoral programs. The Recruitment and Admissions Officer works closely with the Assistant Registrar - Recruitment, Admissions and Awards to develop and implement strategies and initiatives to assist the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education to achieve its recruitment and enrollment objectives across all academic programs (including recruitment of international students).
Your responsibilities will include: Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategiesConducting detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plansDelivering student recruitment presentationsPromoting programs at recruitment eventsDeveloping content for marketing and/or promotional materialsAdvising potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequencesProviding detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students and applicantsConducting market research and analysisEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum four years experience in undergraduate and/or graduate student recruitment, student life, and/or admissionsExperience presenting to diverse groups and advising prospective students and parentsKnowledge of Faculty, School of Graduate Studies and University of Toronto regulations, practices, programs and admission requirementsExperience with web content development, data collection and manipulation, online communication strategies, marketing materials, and web-based marketingDemonstrated experience developing, using and maintaining an online database systemExperience in planning for and running eventsDemonstrated effective use of social media tools (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)Experience with CRM databaseExcellent computer skills, including extensive experience with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Content Management SystemsDemonstrated superior communication (oral, written and presentation) and interpersonal skillsWell-developed problem-solving skillsAptitude for working with statistical data, data manipulation and generation of reportsDemonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and initiative.Familiarity with issues and trends in student recruitment, student life, and communications is necessary.To be successful in this role you will be: ArticulateDiplomaticProactiveResourcefulTeam playerClosing Date: 10/15/2024, 11:59PM ET
