SANCCOB, a leading marine conservation non-profit organisation, seeks to employ a Receptionistat theSANCCOB Cape Town centre, situated in Table View, Cape Town. The Receptionist will report to the Accountant of SANCCOB.ResponsibilitiesManage theswitchboardand reception area so that it is welcoming, neat, and professional at all times.Secretarial duties includingthewelcomingofguests, preparing for meetings, and taking minutes of meetings,if required.Maintain and replenish office stock such as stationery, bathroom, and general supplies.Maintain an up-to-date drafted admin folder of firstresponders, staff contact list, "how to manual" and extension list.Assist with staff signing internal policy documentswhen required.Assistwith shop sales if required.Assistwith administration, filing, fundraisingand ad-hoc duties.Supporting the Procurement and Inventory officer as directed by the AccountantReceiving of deliveries, stock takes, inventory variance reports.Placing of orders, price checks,obtainingdiscounts and quotesReceiving invoices and supporting documentsEnsure that all volunteers and interns meet SANCCOB's driving requirements.Assistwith basic bookkeeping duties including but not limited to receiving supplier statements and petty cash admin/control.Assisting with management of the vehicle fleet and usageManaging the vehicle usage according to a pre-determined budget.Coordinatevolunteer drivers for collections.Conduct weekly vehicle inspections andensure that allcompany vehicles are well maintained.RequirementsMatric qualification: a tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.Minimum 5 years of working experience in reception or similar position.Valid Code 8 Drivers licenseSouth African citizen or valid work permit/residencyClear credit and criminal record (non-negotiable)Competencies (please only apply if you have all the below competencies):Passion for seabirds and/or marine conservation, with a mission-driven work ethic and a positive attitudeAbility to manage the front desk, receiving visitors on-site and telephonic enquiries in a professional and pleasant manner, and represent the organisation with high standard.Ability to work collaboratively within a small team but also to execute work independently and take the initiative when required.Emotional intelligence, including strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness.Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask.Strong written and verbal communication skillsA strong command of English as a working language is essential.Please send your CV (max. 3 pages) with contactable references and a letter of motivation for attention of SANCCOB's Accountant ****** .Previous applications will not be considered.
